Degenerate Circuit

The backdrop of the Cyberdarks

Lore. Degenerate Circuit is a generic Continuous Spell that replaces monsters returning to the hand with their banishment. It is released in North America in 2006 in Cyberdark Impact, a few months after its Japanese debut. In the artwork the lines of a circuit converge on a point of white light, among blue rays and yellow discharges, as if the circuit were collapsing on itself. It is the same abstract background that recurs in the artworks of the Cyberdark monsters, from the original three to their later evolutions: their world, seen without them.

Competitive. Outside the Cyberdarks it found a place as a side deck card against decks that return their own monsters to the hand, such as Spirit monsters and Yosenju.
